Wescoe Hall Waste Audit
Since 2004, the Environmental Stewardship Program has performed a waste audit at Wescoe Hall to find out just how much recyclable "trash" we are throwing out. In April 2004 and 2005, trash was collected from the 4th floor and auditoriums of Wescoe Hall, and sorted the next day on the Stauffer-Flint lawn. The waste collected represents only one day's worth of garbage left in classrooms or deposited in waste receptacles in these areas. All recyclables and the remaining actual trash were measured by weight at the end of the sort. Below is a table of the results, and the percent change by weight and composition in each category.
