Environmental Stewardship Program


The Environmental Stewardship Program provides recycling services to most academic, administrative, and residential buildings on campus.

To find a recycling bin in your building please choose the building from this the locations list. If your building is not listed, please contact KU Recycling at 864-2855 for information about adding services.



Outdoor Bins

KU Recycling also services several outdoor recycling bins accepting newspaper and plastic bottles in the locations listed here.

  • Near the main entrances/bus stops to Bailey, Carruth O'Leary, and Snow Halls; and on Wescoe Beach
  • Along the sidewalk near these buildings: Dyche and Haworth Halls, Spencer Museum, Anschutz and Watson Libraries
  • At 15th and Naismith across from Murphy and at the northernmost Park and Ride Bus Stop on West Campus
