Drop-Off Sorting Guidelines
KU Recycling accepts the following materials at drop-off locations. Click on each item (or scroll down the page) for more information on what is included in each class and how to prepare your recycling for drop-off.
#1 P.E.T Plastic Bottles
#2 H.D.P.E Plastic Bottles
Aluminum Cans
Steel Cans
Glass
Office Pak (Mixed Paper)
Newspaper
Corrugated Cardboard and Chipboard
Magazines
#1 P.E.T. Plastic Bottles
Look for the "1" on the bottom. Please empty contents and discard lids before recycling. Bottles should be thrown into recycling bins next to trailers if loose and placed directly in recycling trailers if in plastic bags.

Does Not Include:
Milk Jugs
Detergent Bottles
Yogurt Cups

Look for the "2" on the bottom. Please empty contents and discard lids before recycling. Bottles should be thrown into recycling bins next to trailers if loose and placed directly in recycling trailers if in plastic bags.
